LUBBOCK SWIM CLUB GENERAL INFORMATION

This ID # is required for all meet entries. We register each year in October. The current fee for swimmers is $53.00.
Each swimmer has their own unique ID number. The number is configured as follows: Chester A. Arthur January 1, 2007 010107CHEAARTH 6 digits of birthday/first 3 letter of first name/middle initial / first 4 letters of last name. Registration Fees: Administration Fee: A $30.00 fee per family will be due each year with the USA registration. Booster Club: Parents automatically become members of Booster Club when their swimmer joins LSC. Our Booster Club covers the cost of several aspects of our team. They cover coaches travel expenses, meet awards, banquet awards, pool rental at meets, meet hospitality, equipment, office supplies, mailing…..the list goes on. Dues go to a separate account. Your dues go only for coaches salaries and pool rental. EVERYTHING else must be covered by the Booster Club. Therefore we require that each family contribute at least $100 to the Booster Club each year. LSC will provide a fundraiser once a year to help with the contribution. You may choose to opt out of fundraising and donate the $100 directly to LSC. Website: Our website at www.lubbockswimclub.org is our main information center. Please refer to the website for schedule changes, meet and practice schedules, time standards, meet information, team records and much more. Mailboxes: The Mailboxes found in the front hall of the Aquatic Center belong to Lubbock Swim Club. We occasionally use these for distributing information. This is the place where you will turn in meet entries and drop off your dues checks each month. Dues Drop Box: Secured to the end of the mailboxes is a drop box for monthly dues. You may mail your dues checks to the pool or simply drop them in the box. Please be sure to always put your swimmers name and the month(s) you are paying on the check. Any questions concerning dues should be directed Coach April Hayes. Please never give coaches checks on deck. Attendance Requirements: We have found it necessary to require a certain amount of attendance to participate in swim meets. We are a competitive swim team and it is very important for the swimmers to see improvement at each competition. To do so requires dedication and a commitment to attend as many practices as possible. This is also to insure that our coaches know enough about each individual to coach them at swim meets.
SHORT COURSE: Dynamiter-Junior: 3 practices/week Junior Elite: 4 practices/week Senior: 5 practices/week
LONG COURSE: Dynamiter-Black: 3 practices/week Junior & Junior Elite: 5 practices/week Senior: 7 practices/week Meet Requirements: Swimmers are required to attend all home meets. If your swimmer does not qualify for a certain home meet, their attendance is still required to help with the running of the meet and to support their teammates. Swimmers must also attend at least 3 out-of-town meets each year. **All Championship meets that a swimmer qualifies for are highly recommended! This is what they have been working so hard for and to not take advantage of these meets would be a waste. Parent Requirements: We host several meets each year at our home pool, Pete Ragus. Our meets are run by our parents. There are many positions that you can choose from. See Meet Volunteer Sheet for more information. Team t-shirts are sold at various times throughout the year. Caps are available at anytime. Suits are available through many outlets. Check out our website links for more information. Team Breaks: Lubbock Swim Club takes a two-week break at the end of each season. Short Course break usually falls in March and the Long Course break in August. We also take short breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break. Dues remain the same for each month.
